A beautiful and charming hotel with only 25 rooms, the result of a
painstaking renovation of a late 19th century villa, declared Historical
Heritage Building of San Sebastián. Built in 1898 as a wedding present,
the villa belonged to the same family for generations until it was fully
restored with high quality materials into a five-star hotel. Currently,
the Villa Soro achieves a perfect balance between the cozy and informal
ambience of a villa and the services and comfort of a luxury hotel.
The Villa features 15 rooms distributed in various rooms. The remaining
10 rooms are located in the Stable house, an English style annex with an
english red brick façade. Each room is different yet share the same
simplicity, fine woods and materials. Natural light illuminates every
corner and increases the sensation of wellbeing and calm. The most
significant decorative elements are the featured artworks, made by
Guipuzcoan artists. This beautiful setting would be incomplete without
the garden - dating back to 1898 -, the cozy lounges, the café/bar for
the evening tea, the old greenhouse converted into a breakfast hall and
the friendly, attentive staff.
The hotel is located on a tree-lined avenue and surrounded by other
stately homes. Zurriola Beach and the Kursaal Convention Centre and Old
Quarter is a short distance away. The world renowned, three-star
Michelin restaurant Arzak is only 500 metres, while the other highly
regarded restaurants that make up San Sebastian's magnificent
gastronomic experience are only minutes away by car.
