In this marvelous city, dominated by the famous "Tajo de Ronda", the Reina Victoria Hotel with its unique location and panoramic views offers classical, exquisite comfort.

On the eastern periphery of town, this country-style hotel date from 1906, when it was built by an Englishman in honor of his recently departed monarch, Queen Victoria. Reina Victoria is near the bullring, with terraces that hang right over a 147 meters (490 Feet) precipice. Hemingway frequently visited, but the Reina Victoria is known best as the place where poet Rainer Maria Rilke wrote The Spanish Trilogy, and he was lodged during various months inspired walking for its gardens and contemplating the precious sunsets to reflect them in some of its books. The room that the poet occupied is conserved as a "Museum".

The Hotel's third-floor room has been set aside as a museum with first editions, manuscripts, photographs, and even a framed copy of his hotel bill. A life-size bronze statue of him stands in a corner of the garden. The rooms of Reina Victoria are big and airy, some with living rooms and many with private terraces.
