The Hotel Alfaros is situated in the historical, business and
administrative centre of the city of Cordoba, next to the Barbican of
the Roman Wall which marks the boundaries of the primitive village of La
Axarquia.
In the Hotel Alfaros you can find many details that remind you the
artistic manifestations of Al-Andalus: geometric designs, mosaics,
pillars and arches which among other elements make you recall the
origins of this wonderful city, situated in the centre of Andalucia, and
at a short distance from Sevilla, Malaga, Granada and Jaen.
The Hotel Alfaros, a 4-star hotel, one of the best in Cordoba, offers an
elegance and style which has been inspired by the Roman and Moorish
influences so prevalent in this superb city - mosaics, arches, columns
and pebbled floors, the look is vaguely Moorish, but it's merely the
mock. A short distance from the mosque, the spacious Hotel Alfaros is
well-placed for most sites in Cordoba as well as the modern commercial
centre. The rooms of the Alfaros are extremely well-equipped and offer
the facilities one would expect from this standard of hotel including
king-sized beds & air-conditioning.
You enter through a garage area, not a very attractive opening, but the
Hotel Alfaros improves remarkably once you're inside. It's spacious and
bright, with large public areas and floors of stone and marble set off
against Mudéjar motifs.
